Looking for a place to stay in Tagaytay? Try T House, a cozy bed & breakfast place on the way to Picnic Grove. Although they dont have a view of Taal Lake like The Botique or Taal Vista Lodge, they compensate by giving you the best service they can. Tea and cookies for bedtime anyone? Good smelling shampoo, soap and spa products are all handmade from Ilog Maria.
They have 3 clusters for accommodations (Earth, Water & Fire), rates below:
Tranquil Garden Room Php 4,025 nett
Luxe Garden Room Php 5,175 nett
Luxe Garden Suite Php 6,325 nett
All rooms are airconditioned, with hot&cold showers and wi-fi (for some areas). Our first room was fire 3, it had a bathroom with a sunroof. Unfortunately, there was something wrong with the aircon so they moved us to room fire 1 which was almost the same size but the bathroom didn’t have a sunroof so it wasn’t as open as our previous room.
They also have this fancy card slot on the wall right beside the door of your room. Its like a plastic card that’s color coded and you insert it on that slot so when they check your room, they know what to do. You can flip it around to display the following:
- In dreamland
- Appreciate the help in tidying up
- Ready for my tea – you can have bedtime tea and cookies
- Welcome – by default
All their food is freshly done in a big see-through kitchen:
Inside the dining area, there was a cute little pineapple – they have one on each table. The waiter also recommended the Guava shake. Hmmm… a bunch of guavas tossed into a blender with some ice. Try it and let us know what you think (*wink)
Luck was on our side when we spent the weekend there, they were having an anniversary cocktail party. Free dinner! (hahaha) The setting was on the rooftop of the dining area. They served sushi, some pasta, tempura, salads and a couple more dishes – all neatly arranged and ready for the picking. Cocktail style. They had a bar setup where you can ask for drinks. They integrated the guava shake into something like a guava daiquiri – uhm, I guess I’m just not a fan of liquid guava. But the food was great! We weren’t able to take some photos that night, but here’s a picture of the place the morning after.
Breakfast time!
We tried the chocolate pancakes for breakfast (P250)
as well as the tapsilog “Smoked Tapa” (also P250):
Both were good, although I had to request for extra syrup for the pancakes. The taste of the tapa was really rich – nice. If you stay overnight, breakfast will be served for free. They also offer set meals for lunch or dinner. Set meals are at P650 per person: get a choice of soup, salad, entree and dessert.
They also have a spa, 1 hr massages start from 500 up, depending on your specifications they can include aromatherapy oils, manicure and pedicure.
They’ve been operational for about a year now… and some of the couches and lounge areas need a little bit of cleaning. But overall, the place is a nice place to chill and do nothing
