Paalam Francis Magalona. Rest in Peace.

Today I heard that Francis Magalona is no longer with us. Sad news for all of us. Here’s a short entry in honor of his death.

He was fighting leukemia for the past months or so… chemo and everything. I guess it was time for him to move on.. he’s in a better place now. He died at the age of 44 in Medical City. Today – March 6, 2009.

You can still read the last few updates on his popular multiply account: http://francismagalona.multiply.com/ and his happy battle site: http://happybattle.multiply.com/ He’s immortal now and his words will live on forever – I hope. I wonder, what will happen to his multiply account after a couple of years… The way I see it, it will slowly turn into a digital memorial site where you can post messages in his honor. I never thought about this up until now. Interesting, how your virtual self lives on…

Eraserheads concert will be tomorrow… its sad because I think he had a good relationship with Ely – the vocalist of eraserheads who incidentally is also fighting his own battles to live on… They collaborated on SuperProxy.

Francis M. – You will always be in our hearts. Rest In Peace Man.

I’m sure after the game he was ordered to the bad boy corner by the mrs. (Kris Aquino). In fairness to Mr. Yap, if someone that big chased after me – I would probably run too. But then, if you plan on kicking someone from behind you better be sure that you’re up for the challenge.

Tsk tsk. Maybe next time pare – pero magaling ka pa rin magbasketball kahit ano mangyari.

I have been frequenting some interesting blogsites recently. One of the usual sites that I visit for juicy and controversial tidbits is Chikatime. They usually write about local socialites and stars

All of a sudden, it’s no longer active… hmm… what happened?

Then I saw that www.chuvaness.com had a post entitled “The Demise of Chikatime?”

Chuvaness said in her blog that after Jenni Epperson (who apparently also has a blog – www.mabuhaygirl.multiply.com) found out who the writers behind Chikatime were, they went off the air! Jenni has been threatening to reveal their identities if they do not apologize to her and Tim Yap and the rest of the peeps they have ridiculed, revealed and written about in their site… hmmm… exciting ah.

Sex & the City – the movie!

Finally, the movie I’ve been waiting for the whole summer is here! and it’s as FABULOUS as I hoped it would be. I was such a fan of the tv series and I’m happy with how the movie turned out. It’s the perfect chick flick, romantic, touching and more importantly funny! The shoes and bags were also worth drooling over! But I especially loved the huge walk-in closet of Carrie!

Some comments:

- I loved Charlotte’s moments in this movie. Laugh trip sya For me, she stood out in this film. You go girl! haha

- I hated the feather/bird piece on Carrie’s hair on her wedding day!
