Trashing the Markers in Motion Capture

Yes, you read it right – there’s a new technology as reported by NewScientist.com which gets rid of the funny looking suit and the annoying ball markers in 3D motion capture.  I can just imagine how this new technology will impact different sectors in our society especially entertainment.

As seen in the video below, this new system of motion capture can even capture the detailed movement in the clothes.  Amazing.

Now the video above is not the exact video I saw on dw-tv so I’m not sure if its the same because I’m not a 3D guy.  I just think that its cool.
